WPAP Tutorial With Photoshop And Illustrator

This article will discuss 9 steps to create a Wedha’s Pop Art Portrait (WPAP) themed image using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Previously, tutorial-webdesign.com had also written articles containing video tutorials on making wpap using Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDraw.

Before entering the tutorial section, it’s a good idea to know what Wpap and its CV (Curiculum Vitae) are, and maybe I can’t put it in here, for more details, please download below:

The applications required for this WPAP tutorial are:

The procedures for making Wedha’s Pop Art Portrait genre works are as follows:

Part 1 (Settings in Photoshop).

  1. Look for an image with good lighting, if possible high resolution so that the results are satisfactory, as shown below:

  1. Import the image file into Adobe Photoshop, the appearance is as shown below:

  1. Ok next, adjust the lighting in the following way:

Description: In the picture above, a notification appears, just click it, then select curves.

  1. After adjusting curves a dialog box appears and the next settings are as shown in Figure 6 below:

Note: The settings above are not a benchmark for your image, you can adjust it according to your own wishes. If you have clicked OK then save it to the folder you want.

Ok done, opppppssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ok done ok, first turn on the ammunition, friends (BBM = Mouth Fuel) aka Cigarette, so it’s a bit hot *for smokers, don’t try for non-smokers.

Continue part 2 (Illustrator)

  1. Ok, continue to open the application that friends often use, if I use Adobe illustrator Cs3 Extended, now Photosop was just to clarify the light and dark lightning.
  2. Has the application been opened to draw it? Here’s what it looks like:

The position of the image doesn’t match the arena canvas, how come?

  1. After the rotation / adjustment process in the canvas is complete, pay attention to the steps as shown below:

No, 1: make sure it is locked / lock the object so it doesn’t move anywhere,
No, 2: then double click on layer 1, a dialog box will appear as shown below:

  • at number 1 check the template checklist,
  • at no. 2 remove the checklist,
  • at no. 3 click ok.

If you have already taken the layer option steps above, then the next step is to create a new layer as shown below:

Point your mouse towards number 1 and click, a new layer will appear, namely layer 2.

  1. Immediately faceting, the priority is the important points so that the character of the object is not lost, namely the eyes, nose and porridge and lips.
    Like the following appearance.

If you have finished Faceting, change the color to grayscale, I happened to use it at the beginning with the appearance as follows:

Description: don’t forget to block all areas of the object that have been finished in faceting, then hover your cursor over the tabs: Edit > Edit Color > Convert to Grayscale.
Incidentally the picture above is already grayscale

  1. The last stage of Coloring, provide a solid color palette, which is popular which is often used by Wpap artists, as follows:
